The veteran of the Freshman Big 3, Kentucky’s Julius Randle battled all the Michigan State Spartans that he could but in the end came up short in a 78-74 loss. Even though Kentucky and Randle lost the game it doesn’t mean the kid didn’t impress. He struggled in the first half with only 4 points but in the second half it was all Randle as he put up 23 points and led his team back from a 10 point deficit. He hit everything from outside jumpers to destroying the Spartans in the post. Once again 9 of Randle’s points came from free throws which shows how much of a force he is against other teams. All in all, the freshman finished with 27 points on 9-14 shooting and 13 rebounds.
