We all known DeMarcus Cousins has a temper but tonight he did have a reason to be mad. He got called for a BS foul on Dwight Howard but everything else after was all Cousins fault. He’s one technical away from 16 which would secure him a one game suspension.
Today was the much talked about rematch between Syracuse and Duke. The game was a great one but it ended with a controversial charge call which could’ve sent CJ Fair to the line to put Syracuse up by 1 with 11 seconds left. Instead the call made Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim go crazy and get two technical fouls which led to an ejection and a Duke victory.
Chicago Bulls center, Joakim Noah has never been a fan of the referees but last night he definitely let them get to him. Check it out as Noah goes off telling each ref exactly how he felt about his ejection by saying “F*** You” and “F*** You” and “F*** You”!! Noah may have gotten that all off his chest but his pockets are gonna be lighter as he was fined $15K earlier today by the NBA.
Phoenix Suns rookie, Alex Len hit Los Angeles Lakers, guard Nick Young with a hard foul on a dunk attempt sending Young to the floor! Young didn’t like the foul and went right at Len, the Morris Twins and Goran Dragic! The Lakers bench grabbed Young to get him off the floor before anymore trouble ensued but both Young and Len would be ejected.
In the 80’s and early 90’s this would’ve been a personal foul but nowadays it buys you an ejection, as Paul Pierce was ejected tonight for this hard foul on Pacers guard, George Hill.
Last night was the Battle of New York as the New York Knicks faced the new look Brooklyn Nets in Brooklyn. New York was divided between the two teams but last night it was the New York Knicks who ruled the city for the night. The Knicks won 113-83.
During the Battle of New York, another battle took place between Brooklyn Nets forward, Kevin Garnett and New York Knicks forward, Andrea Bargnani. The battle started early on as Bargnani blew by an elderly KG for a big slam!
The battle didn’t heat up until the 4th quarter when the Knicks started to pull away. Both guys got tangled up and both coaches as well as players came to their teammates needs. Both players were given technical fouls and play continued.
Even though Bargnani and the Knicks won the game, KG definitely won the inner battle when Bargs hit a long 2 on Garnett and trashed talked his way down the court. The trash talking didn’t last long as everyone’s favorite official Joey Crawford called a technical which was Andrea’s second leading to an instant ejection from the game! With 3 more battles left it should be an interesting end to the war nonetheless!
