Battle of New York: Featured Kevin Garnett Vs Andrea Bargnani!!

Brooklyn Nets vs New York Knicks

Last night was the Battle of New York as the New York Knicks faced the new look Brooklyn Nets in Brooklyn. New York was divided between the two teams but last night it was the New York Knicks who ruled the city for the night. The Knicks won 113-83.

During the Battle of New York, another battle took place between Brooklyn Nets forward, Kevin Garnett and New York Knicks forward, Andrea Bargnani. The battle started early on as Bargnani blew by an elderly KG for a big slam!

The battle didn’t heat up until the 4th quarter when the Knicks started to pull away. Both guys got tangled up and both coaches as well as players came to their teammates needs. Both players were given technical fouls and  play continued.

Even though Bargnani and the Knicks won the game, KG definitely won the inner battle when Bargs hit a long 2 on Garnett and trashed talked his way down the court. The trash talking didn’t last long as everyone’s favorite official Joey Crawford called a technical which was Andrea’s second leading to an instant ejection from the game! With 3 more battles left it should be an interesting end to the war nonetheless!

Is Linsanity Back?

Two years ago the story of the NBA was undrafted Harvard guard Jeremy Lin playing insane for the New York Knicks. In his first five starts he had 136 points (the most by any nba player in his first five starts). He led the struggling Knicks to 7 straight wins averaging 26.8 points.

A year later the Knicks didn’t try very hard to keep Lin as the Houston Rockets signed him to a 3 year 25 million dollar deal. Last year Linsanity died down as he only averaged 13 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists.

That brings us to present day where the last two games, Jeremy Lin totaled 65 points including last nights game where he had 9 three pointers. As Linsanity starts to heat back up it only makes sense that he returns to Madison Square Garden to the face the team that made him, the New York Knicks. All eyes will be on Lin, on one of the biggest stages the NBA has to offer.
